El Consorci Forestal de Catalunya (CFC) is a forest owners association whose objectives include the promotion and dissemination of sustainable forest management and technical support to forest-owners, real managers of forests. The cork oak grove is typically Mediterranean where more than 95% belong to private ownership of forest members of the association. In the field of cork oak groves, CFC provides the knowledge of the daily management of these masses, as well as its operation and main problems, such pathological and forestry technique. The mission of Centre Tecnològic Forestal de Catalunya (CTFC) is to contribute to the modernization and competitiveness of forestry, rural development and sustainable management of the natural environment through research, training and transfer of technology and knowledge the society. In this context, the activity carried out in the CTFC is aimed at solving problems related to the management of ecosystems and the interaction of natural resources with society, with the aim of improving the wealth and welfare of people and sustainability of the natural environment in the context of current global change. The CTFC perform technical tasks in the planned measures, as well as communication and coordination own partner.

Forestal Catalana SA makes a wide range of environmental actions, ranging from forest management, infrastructure construction, environmental conservation actions, production and marketing of plant for reforestation mainly to the management of livestock resources, aquaculture and wildlife, as well as studies and projects related to the topics discussed. Amorim Florestal S.A (AFL) is part of the Amorim group and was created in 1870. Nowadays, it is world leader in cork production. One of its strategies is to improve forest management in the areas suppliers of cork, allowed ensuring sustainability and conservation of the cork oak groves. In this sense, and based on their experience, AFL will actively participate in the actions of implementation and monitoring of new management models of cork oak groves. Similarly, the company has a strong bond with cork consumer sectors, especially wine (cork stopper). Therefore, participation of AFL in the communication actions is vital to expand the treated problems and solutions provided by the project to groups of people that would hardly be achievable by the other project partners. www.amorimcork.com |

El Centre de la Propietat Forestal (CPF) is a public entity within the Department of Agriculture, Cattle raising, Fisheries, Food and Environment of the Generalitat de Catalunya. Core competencies focus on regulate, manage and provide support on a privately owned lands. The CPF has a Plan for Innovation and Knowledge Transfer (PITC) whose main purpose is to contribute to the revitalization of sustainable forest management of forests in private ownership. The PITC includes among its actions the studio and transfer of the multifunctional management ORGEST models, integrating the improvement of logging to prevent forest fires, while improving biodiversity in the region.
